When I was a little girl I loved playing house with my baby dolls. I always dreamed of being a mommy. Fourteen years ago today this sweet baby made that dream come true.
She came into the world with a head full of black hair, chubby cheeks, and squinty eyes.
We were told all the time that she looked like a China doll. People would make comments everywhere we went. I remember when she was a baby she was so fat that she didn't roll over until she was about 7 months old and then we still had to bribe her with food, lol.
I remember when her sisters were born she wanted to help take care of them. She has always wanted to be a big helper.
She has such a compassionate side. When she was little she went to the zoo and at that time they only had 1 gorilla. She felt so bad for him she would tell us, "That big monkey not have no family".
Ever since she was little when we would go to nice restaurants she didn't want the kids menu. She wanted steak, shrimp, crab legs, ribs; always the more expensive stuff! One time we went to eat and she wanted the ribs. We didn't feel like she'd eat the big portion and that she would waste it. She kept on saying that was what she wanted......well she ate more ribs than her dad that day....lol.
In the last 14 years, Kiersten, you've taught me so much. You've taught me how to hold you when you cried, love you when you no longer wanted me to hold you because you're more of a touch-me-not than your sisters, that you'll talk when you're ready, how you HATE being late for anything, but how to love you unconditionally.
I am so thankful for your willingness to help everyone, your love for children, your craziness acting like me but your get stuff done attitude you get from your dad.
I am so proud you made the best decision to give your life to God.
I love when you just want to sit and have a chick flick movie day, shopping day, or just riding down the road and blaring the music and acting crazy days, or just sitting around trying to beat me at Monopoly Deal.....
So today I want to wish a big happy birthday to my coffee loving, netflix watching, crab leg eating, music listening, game playing, text & shopping addict and the one that made me a mom.
I just want you to know today, and every day how much I love you, and how thankful I am that I get to be your mom.
