Please help me congratulate Alexis & Lawson!!!
I have been close friends with Alexis' family because her sister and my daughter are best friends. Alexis and Lawson met at her 16th birthday party. They started dating that very night!
Soon, they both knew that they would spend the rest of their lives together!
Alexis' mom contacted me last fall letting me know that they were planning a 2018 wedding for these two. Of course I was so excited that she'd chosen me!
Lawson wanted to make his proposal special. On a Sunday afternoon Alexis and her mom stopped by a local place. When Alexis walked in, Lawson had cleared everything out of the whole place and had a rose petal aisle and candles leading to him. When Alexis realized what was going on she started crying......a lot, lol!!! Lawson gave her a sweet speech and then got down on one knee in front of a crying Alexis and asked her to marry him. Of course she said yes!! It was then that she realized that he'd invited her family to hide and watch the whole thing!!!
When the day of her wedding came we started at her house shooting her pictures. Not very far into the shots the bride's dad came in with pizza. All the girls were starving and wanted to eat right in the middle of the photos with the bride and her girls....... luckily no pizza sauce got on the dresses!!!!

The whole day was so great! The weather was beautiful and the wedding party was great! They had chosen not to see each other before the wedding. When the time came for the bride and her dad to walk in the tables turned and it was Lawson's turn to cry seeing his bride for the first time!
The ceremony took place in the church that Alexis grew up in her whole life. The couple exchanged sweet vows in the presence of their family & friends. It was made even more special because her uncle, who is also her pastor, officiated.
After the wedding, we shot the reception, the "just married" photos, and the family & wedding party pictures. They were getting ready to leave and realized that no one had the marriage license!!! After looking & looking the groom finally found the license!

I was so happy to be able capture their special day! May your life together be as blessed as your wedding day!
Happy Tuesday!
Much love,
Jennifer.
