Hello all, back at the first of the year I told you about Hannah & Jared's love story. If you have been following me the last few months you'll know I was very excited to photograph Hannah & Jared's beach wedding!!!
Hannah's family takes a yearly trip to Navarre, Fl, and Hannah has, for years, said that when she got married she wanted it to be a beach wedding. So when these two started talking about their wedding, of course Hannah brought up her dream of getting married on the beach.
Once the planning started, they talked with vendors, looking for a house on the beach big enough to host their reception plus hold family members, AND be pretty with good lighting for getting ready shots (Thank you, Nickie)!! Everything was coming together, the flowers, the dress, the bridesmaid dresses, flower girl dresses, suits, etc. It was going to be Hannah's dream wedding!!
The week of the wedding came. Everyone packed up, drove down, and arrived at what was one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen. Finding a beach house that was spacious enough for a reception, beautiful enough for wedding pictures, and accommodating and wedding friendly wasn't an easy task, but they had finally found the one!! Unfortunately, when Hannah and her family arrived at their beautiful beach house they were told that they were no longer allowed to have a wedding or reception at that house.
There they were, two days until the wedding and they had to come up with a different plan. They were able to convince the realty company to let them still have the wedding on the beach in front of the house, but they had to find a different location for the reception. This meant a lot of plans were changing. It also meant they had to bear additional, unexpected wedding costs. I am sure all of you would have a stress level that would be through the roof......guys, they were all troopers! I talked to Nickie (the bride's mother). She just stayed calm, as though she knew it would come together. Guess what? Everything did!!!
On the day of the wedding the skies were dark all day and rain was threatening. It was very windy, and it just didn't seem like we would be able to get many outdoor shots. Fortunately, they had the foresight to rent a house that had a beautiful room for pictures!! We started taking pictures inside but Hannah's mother and I both remembered seeing a house that was just a few houses down and IT. WAS. GORGEOUS. This house had beautiful landscaping and an amazing staircase that helped knock some of the wind off . We were able to use it for our outdoor pictures!!
By the time the wedding took place, through plenty of prayers, the weather had cleared up. It was still a little windy, but the sun came out and gave us a beautiful setting!!
With a breathtaking backdrop of the beautiful turquoise waters Hannah & Jared stood in front of their family & friends and recited their vows. The sand ceremony was a perfect way to illustrate their promise to spend the rest of their lives together. They shared their kiss and as they were walking out the crowd threw rose petals at them. It was everything Hannah had dreamed about!!
An intimate reception was held at a hotel nearby that had an outdoor pavilion. Despite being over 350 miles from home this couple had incredible support from friends and family. So many people had come to be a part of their special day, and they all worked together to create a beautiful reception for these two!
I am so glad I was able to capture this spectacular day with Hannah & Jared along with all the people who love them.
